Veterans Memorial Park

This meaningful project created a connection from the Ellington Library to the adjacent Veterans Memorial with an easy access decorative sidewalk. Prior to this project, the two were not physically connected and getting to the memorial required parking on the adjacent street and navigating curbs and grass. A stenciled, colored, concrete four foot wide concrete sidewalk now serves as a safe and stable path from the library’s entry sidewalk extending 500 feet to the memorial park. This fast track project was completed in twelve weeks and also included upgrades to the existing patio and placements for the benches, monument and dedication plaques encompassing the veterans memorial, soldier’s statue and the flagpole.
