This project for the Town of Rocky Hill created significant pedestrian improvements to a half mile stretch of walkways (on both sides) of the Silas Dean Highway. Our scope required demolition of the previous sidewalks and extensions that provided connections where sidewalks previously didn’t exist. As an extension of a previous project around the Town Hall, this project creates a connected walking area that is tree-lined, has lighting systems for pathways, and also new bus shelters.
Additional highlights of this project include the decorative brick in-lays on the concrete sidewalk, as well as stamped asphalt that serves as crosswalks on the highway that connects the sidewalks on both ends of the project, forming a one mile loop.
