2024 marks 70 years in business for Colossale Siteworks! We continue to build upon the hard work, generosity and grit our father Dom Sr. instilled in us. Today we honor his legacy by making sure that every project we undertake, whether heavy highway construction or decorative hardscapes or any kind of sitework in between, starts with grit and ends with polish. We know he would be thrilled to see the company reach this milestone!
Above are a few highlights of projects past :
- 1983 – Ground breaking ceremony for the New P.A.L. Building in New Britain. In attendance was Mayor McNamara, several City officials and others. Colossale was the General Contractor for this project.
- 2007 – Paving the parking lot at the New home of Colossale. Captured in the photo on the asphalt roller is Michael Colossale, lending a hand to the crew.
- 2011 – Dominic Colossale Sr. in his favorite spot in the pilot seat of his excavator.
- 1973 – Dominic Colossale Sr. showing the ropes to the future President, Dominic Colossale,Jr.
- 1985 – Colossale built the City of New Britain Fire Station No. 7 on Hartford Road. This was one of two modern fire stations added to the department.
- 1992 – Colossale reconstructed New Britain’s Central Park – this project revealed long forgotten underground bathroom facilities that were filled in with excavatable concrete to forever seal off the rooms. In the photo is Carmine Colossale, putting the finishing touches on the brick paver patio. This park has since undergone at least one more renovation to accommodate traffic upgrades.
