Location: Newington, CT

This project focused on upgrading accessibility and improving the flow of pedestrians, cyclists, and motor vehicles alike. We added dedicated bike lanes, complemented by clear signage to ensure safe and organized traffic. Bus stops were strategically relocated with proper signage for ease of use, while all walkways were brought up to ADA compliance, incorporating numerous pedestrian ramps and updated pavement markings to enhance safety and accessibility.

The roadways, a vital part of this busy urban landscape, were milled and repaved, ensuring they will endure decades of heavy use. In addition, tree clearing and thinning were executed as planned to support critical drainage improvements, including significant swales designed to prevent erosion and maximize water management efficiency. Minor traffic signal adjustments were made to enhance the flow of both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, ensuring that this revitalized infrastructure serves the community well into the future.

This comprehensive upgrade not only modernizes these heavily traveled streets but also enhances safety and accessibility for all who use them.
