The reconstruction of Burlington Road for the Town of Farmington revitalizes a critical corridor that connects State Route 177 (Plainville Avenue) to the Burlington town line.

This three-quarter-mile roadway underwent a full-depth reconstruction, beginning with substantial underground infrastructure upgrades. The project included the installation of more than 2,000 linear feet of drainage pipe ranging from 12-inch to 48-inch diameter, along with dozens of new drainage structures designed to improve long-term stormwater management and roadway resilience.

Following the completion of drainage improvements, the existing roadway was fully excavated and rebuilt from the ground up. A new road base was constructed to ensure structural integrity and longevity, followed by fresh paving to deliver a smooth, durable driving surface. Final project elements included pavement markings, updated signage, and lawn restoration, ensuring the corridor was not only structurally sound but visually cohesive and safe for motorists and pedestrians alike.

The Burlington Road Reconstruction project reflects Colossale’s commitment to delivering comprehensive municipal infrastructure solutions — from subsurface utility work to final surface restoration — with precision, efficiency, and lasting impact.
