The transformation of North Branford High School was a major undertaking, requiring a phased demolition and reconstruction to maintain uninterrupted use by students and staff. Over the course of two and half years, we were proud to contribute to this project, focusing on key infrastructure elements including curbs, walkways, retaining walls, chiller and dumpster pads, and a meticulously crafted system of architectural precast seat walls and amphitheater seating.

Our work spanned approximately one year, with a brief six-month intermission. Among the most impressive aspects were the seat walls, which weighed between 1,500 and 6,000 pounds each. Using a precision vacuum lifting device, we placed these massive pieces with exacting care to preserve their finish. This careful handling was the culmination of months of preparation, with subsurface planning accounting for 75% of the overall effort to ensure flawless execution.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the results, and we’re confident that students will enjoy these functional and aesthetically striking features for decades to come.
