We are proud to be part of the ongoing upgrades to the historic Rocky Hill–Glastonbury Ferry landings, working in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Transportation to enhance one of the state’s most iconic river crossings. The project focuses on improving safety, security, and accessibility at both ferry terminals while preserving the character and heritage of this long-standing transportation link across the Connecticut River.

Enhancements include the installation of decorative gates and fencing, stone pillars, upgraded sidewalks, and new seating areas designed to improve the overall user experience for residents and visitors alike. Each element has been thoughtfully incorporated to blend durability, function, and aesthetic quality in a highly visible public setting.

Construction began during the ferry’s off-season to minimize disruption, and work is carefully phased to ensure that regular operations are not expected to be interrupted during the 2026 season. This project reflects Colossale’s ability to deliver infrastructure improvements in sensitive, high-traffic public environments — balancing historic context, operational continuity, and modern standards for safety and accessibility.
